Before COVID was a household name, before the ensuing supply chain chaos, before the highest inflation rate in 40 years, before intensifying racial strife, and before war began raging in Europe—Dr. Michael Youssef sensed an urgent spiritual need. In the fall of 2018, he shared: "As I consider the vast need for the Gospel not only in our world but right here in our own nation, I feel compelled by God to take action. Now is the time to be all-in for Christ."
We are more committed than ever to leveraging every available resource to see the lost come to know Jesus Christ.
With this clarion call, Vision 2025—Leading The Way's plan for ministry expansion—was born. With seven distinct goals covering every area of ministry, the scope was ambitious—seemingly impossible. But thanks to His power at work through your partnership, He has already accomplished more than we could have ever imagined.
The first initiative of Vision 2025 involved doubling our media footprint in the United States. Since then, the Lord has allowed us to not only add 80 new TV and radio stations in major markets but also launch a series of commercials called Finding True Peace—bringing over 130,000 visits to our evangelistic website.
Initiatives 2, 3, and 4 involved reaching more Muslims with the Gospel, both here at home and in the Middle East. Through our 24/7 satellite TV channel THE KINGDOM SAT and our international Field Team network, we are seeing an exponential number of souls reached as we create new signature content, air weekly LIVE broadcasts, plan outreaches in key U.S. cities, answer countless phone calls, and reach millions online. The harvest is plentiful, and the evidence is found in the testimonies we receive daily from people like Al-Tihan in Libya, who shared, "I was tired of the lies of Islam. Through your program, I can see full Truth and love in the person of Jesus Christ."
As Dr. Youssef and the Leading The Way team began to pursue each ministry goal, the fifth initiative—hosting massive Evangelistic Celebrations—seemed the most ambitious of all. The pandemic had shut down the world. How could the ministry hope to host six in-person Celebrations per year? But now, with our first Evangelistic Celebration in Middle Georgia complete and five more Celebrations scheduled for the fall, all we can do is worship our great God for His provision, power, and faithfulness. This is all about Jesus, and He is making Himself known.
Since 2009, solar-powered Navigator audio players have been an integral part of Leading The Way's global ministry. Capable of reaching the unreached in distinctive ways, plans to distribute 100,000 more of these devices as part of initiative 6 are well underway. Despite manufacturing challenges and governmental scrutiny, your partnership has already enabled us to reach 35 nations with the Navigator—and 2023 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for distribution, with breakthrough shipments to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bangladesh, and Ethiopia already in process.
Last but not least, initiative 7 challenged Leading The Way to reach a new generation for Christ. In response, you helped us launch Candid Conversations with Jonathan Youssef, and for the past 4 years, through 200 timely podcast episodes, Candid has reached younger listeners in over 100 countries. By tackling trending topics like addiction, cancel culture, Biblical sexuality, apologetics, and more, it is now in the top 0.12% of all podcasts globally!
With the ultimate goal on the horizon—one million souls for Christ—we are more committed than ever to leveraging every available resource to see the lost come to know Jesus Christ as their only Savior and Lord.
