BENJAMIN, NORTH AMERICA

Once enslaved by alcohol and adultery, Benjamin had every reason to stay home that night. A 31-year-old husband and father, he knew the battle he faced. He had only recently given his life to Christ. Nevertheless, he prepared for an outing with friends downtown at a local bar. Just one night out. Maybe even a chance to witness. But deep down, Benjamin knew the Truth. As he drove to the bar, he felt the pull of his past. He turned on the radio. Maneuvering into a parking spot, Benjamin heard a new program begin—and Dr. Youssef’s voice rang out in his car.

“He was teaching about Genesis and the city of man,” Ben says. “The longer I listened, the more I recognized my self-deception. And I drove home. I praised God for watching over me, for saving me from myself. His words were to me as the angels who rescued Lot from the city.”

MOHAMMAD, THE MIDDLE EAST

Raised in a radical Islamic family, Mohammad searched desperately for Truth. When he brought his questions before the Islamic teachers, they tried to draw him back into Islam—but their answers rang hollow. Then, a friend gave him a Bible. As he read it, peace flooded his soul. He eventually came to an earth-shattering conclusion: Jesus must be the true God. But what would his family do when they discovered his faith in Christ? Mohammad grew fearful. Past beliefs tormented him. That’s when Leading The Way‘s Field Team stepped in—walking with him, praying for him, and helping him discover his new identity in Christ. By God’s grace, he is no longer alone in the fight.

 “Jesus is my Savior, and I am ready to get baptized,” Mohammad shared. “I am also ready to be discipled so that I can grow in my Christian faith.”

MINU, REMOTE VILLAGES

Scorching heat. Torrential rains. Broken vehicles. Government threats. Every force seemed bent against them—yet Minu* and her team pressed on, determined to bring the hope of Christ to villages in Bangladesh where few had even heard the name of Jesus. As they passed out Leading The Way‘s solar-powered Navigators, the Gospel spread like wildfire. Hundreds were surrendering to Christ. Alarmed, Islamic leaders stormed into one of the missionaries’ homes to seize the devices. But when they arrived, something incredible happened.

“When they found the room with the boxes of Navigators, they didn’t even open them. Praise the Lord!” Minu reported. “They didn’t realize that what they were looking for was right in front of them. . . . Please pray God will open the spiritual eyes of these leaders who are hostile to the Gospel.”
