Sin and Evil
The Ten Commandments
From Covetousness to Contentment
The Ten Commandments (Part 11)
Save for Later
Why do the Ten Commandments still matter in an age that claims to have moved beyond them? In this powerful series, Dr. Michael Youssef proclaims that God’s Law is not a relic of the past but a living revelation of His holy character. From idolatry and dishonoring God’s Name to anger, adultery, stealing, lying, and covetousness, each commandment exposes the sin that resides in the human heart. Yet the Law also points us to our only hope—Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, who fulfilled the Law and offers forgiveness to all who repent and believe. Through Biblical teaching and urgent application, this series calls believers to renewed obedience, deeper holiness, and bold witness in a culture that rejects God’s Truth.
The Ten Commandments (Part 11)
From Covetousness to Contentment
In this closing message, Dr. Michael Youssef declares that the tenth commandment exposes the secret sins of the heart. Covetousness is deceptive because it blinds us to God’s goodness, feeds discontentment, and turns our eyes toward what others have. Yet the inerrant Word of God calls believers to something better: contentment rooted in trust in the Lord. Only Jesus Christ can cleanse the heart and free us from inward rebellion. As believers learn to see life from God’s eternal perspective, they turn from envy, repent of self-pity, and rest in His sufficiency. This final message also calls God’s people to intercede for a restless generation, that many may find true contentment in Christ alone.
