Save for Later

Is there real, unmistakable evidence of saving faith in your life? In this bold 12-part series, Dr. Michael Youssef walks through the epistle of James to reveal what true, mature faith looks like in the life of the believer. Each message confronts the counterfeit comforts of empty religion and calls Christians to live by the inerrant Word of God—marked by repentance, perseverance, prayer, obedience, and holy living. From trials to temptations, from the use of our tongues to the posture of our hearts in prayer, James challenges us to examine whether our lives reflect the Gospel we claim. This is a call to authentic faith—proven, tested, and glorifying to Christ.

12 Evidences of Faith (Part 4)

Loving the Unlovable

The fourth evidence of genuine faith is the Spirit-empowered ability to love the unlovable. In this sobering message from James 2, Dr. Michael Youssef proclaims that Biblical faith refuses favoritism, fear, and compromise. True believers love as Christ loves—without intimidation by power, wealth, or approval. This love is not sentiment or emotion, but obedience to the royal law: loving God fully and loving others sacrificially. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, believers are called to repent of hatred, intercede for those who wound them, and show mercy as Christ has shown mercy to us. Such love proves our faith is real and our allegiance is to the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
