Save for Later

In Jacob: Portrait of Grace, Dr. Michael Youssef reveals the overwhelming power of God’s grace in the life of a flawed man whom God chose for His covenant purpose. Through Jacob’s failures in family, marriage, fear, deception, prosperity, surrender, reconciliation, and purity, this eight-part series declares that God’s inerrant Word never fails and His promises always stand. Jacob’s life points us to the Lord Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah and only Savior, whose grace forgives sin, breaks pride, restores broken lives, and calls believers to repentance, obedience, intercession, and faithful service for the Kingdom of God.

Jacob: Portrait of Grace (Part 6)

Grace to Surrender

In Grace to Surrender, Dr. Michael Youssef shows that Jacob’s greatest victory came when he lost to God. Trapped between Laban behind him and Esau before him, Jacob prayed, then quickly returned to planning, fearing, and scheming. But the Lord met him in the night, wrestled him into surrender, and gave him a new name: Israel. This message calls believers to repent of self-rule, cling to Christ, and intercede with faith instead of panic. The inerrant Word of God teaches that true blessing comes only through submission to the living Lord Jesus Christ. In Jacob’s limp, we see grace that breaks pride and restores the soul.
