In Philippians 3, the Word of God commands believers to stop living in the past and press forward toward the call of Christ. The Apostle Paul refused to be chained by past sin, past success, guilt, fear, or earthly praise. Because the blood of the divine Lord Jesus Christ covers every confessed and repented sin, believers must not return to what God has forgiven. This is a call to repent, burn the bridges to the old life, and run with eyes fixed on the final prize.
