ANSWER:
The Bible tells us that on the day of your spiritual birth, the day on which you received Jesus Christ as the Savior of your soul and the Lord of your life, the Holy Spirit of God handed you a very special gift—at least one but often more than one (see 1 Corinthians 7:7, 12:7, 11; 1 Peter 4:10). That is why everyone who knows Jesus can be assured that they do in fact possess a spiritual gift.
Whether your gift is the gift of prayer, faith, or giving, or the gift of evangelism, teaching, or administration, or the gift of showing mercy or healing, you have been given this gift to build up the body of Christ. And your gift is desperately needed for the body to function properly. So, take time to talk with your pastor or trusted friend and begin to discover and then exercise your special gift from God. I know that as you do, the Kingdom of Jesus will be blessed and great things will begin to happen.
