QUESTION:
"My children are inundated with ideas that promote gender confusion. What should I do?"
When God created us, He fashioned us together biologically and in every way for His glory.
ANSWER:
First, you need to know that there are evil people who are lying to our children and saying, "You may not be a boy or girl," or, "You need to do this to your body." It is wicked, and these people are absolutely motivated by Satan to destroy lives.
Second, we need to talk about issues like this Biblically and openly within our churches. We also need to address even the secular statistics, which say that many people who undergo sex change surgeries regret them.
Most importantly, no matter what sin or struggle someone is dealing with, we must understand the difference between the evil power that is working to deceive someone and the person who is caught in Satan’s lie. That is a person whom God loves. Once you understand that, I encourage you to speak Truth in a compassionate way. Explain that when God created us, He fashioned us together biologically and in every way for His glory. Help them get over the hump we all go through in our adolescence.
To people who are struggling, we, the church, need to say: "We love you and want you to be a part of the body of Christ. God created you, loves you, and wants to redeem you. Come to Christ, who loves you more than anything, because when you come to Him, that is where you will receive forgiveness, healing, renewal, and purpose."
